Music Heals, Music Helps

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted. And while that makes me a little sad — because writing is so therapeutic for me — it’s also an honest reflection of just how chaotic life has been these past several months.

My playlists have shifted a little during that time… but in many ways, it’s stayed the same. Some songs have carried me through. Others found me exactly when I needed them.

This post is a compilation of my go-to playlists lately. These are the ones on repeat in the car. They are also played in the quiet and everywhere in between.

I hope you can relate. And more than that, I hope you find exactly what you need somewhere in these songs.

Some of My Favorite Lyrics From Above…

You’ve been putting in work that nobody sees, Planting seeds in silence, watering dreams…

They don’t know what it cost you to stay in the race, The prayers you whispered with tears on your face. But you never folded…

You keep blaming yourself for what you couldn’t change. Keep rehearsing the past, reliving the pain. But healing don’t come from holding on tight. Sometimes strength is knowing when to surrender the fight…

You had me but you lost me, I’m not mad, I’m exhausted. Please, please, if you come around, Gimme something to make me smile…

We been through the worst, made it through the weather. Our problems and the pain, pain, but love, don’t change…

You smile through storms, stay quiet through pain- Never let ’em see you buckle under the strain…

The ones who heal but feel alone- Strong don’t mean unshaken, It means we mastered faking…

You pour out peace like an endless cup, Even when your own world’s roughin’ up. You pray for them, show love on time, But no one notices you’re losing your mind. You help them heal, help ’em cope, Speak life when you can’t find hope….
